Liposuction Pre Op Instructions

Liposuction is a method of body contouringby removal of excess fat using suction cannula through small incisions.
Blood transfusion are almost never required.
Stretch marks can not be removed by liposuction.
No smoking at least 2 weeks before procedure.
Report any history of bruises or excessive bleeding.
Report all mental or psychological problems.
If on medications to thin blood, please report to surgeon.
Stop aspirin at least two weeks before surgery.
Do not take vitamins 2 weeks before surgery.
Discontinue all oestrogen, HRT tablets 4 weeks before surgery.
Try not to schedule surgery on day close to your menstrual period.
